At Café de Caballos, we believe in fresh, ethically sourced and environmentally sustainable coffee. It is for this reason we make every effort to find suppliers that will meet these standards. When we were in search of the finest coffee meeting our standards, we found ourselves on a horse ranch with locals. It was here we were offered a cup of the perfect coffee brew. It had a powerful aroma that you could not ignore. Its taste was simply unforgettable, like nothing we have ever tasted before. When we asked the locals what do you call this coffee, they replied “Mierda de Caballo”. It was in that moment we knew we have found the source for our coffee beans. Since that wonderful encounter, we honor the locals by naming our brand “Café de Caballos”, or for those who do not speak Spanish, Horse Café.
